How would Red be with a more affectionate and clingy lover? Not another yandere by any means, just someone who will always give them nose kisses and cuddle up to them pretty much whenever.
((Needy and clingy types are actually Red's favorite. The more he feels his s/o needs him around, the better. That type is usually more willing to go along with Red's controlling nature, though maybe someone like that would also be able to break him out of that with enough patience and understanding (wouldnt count on that though lol)
Red would probably be less manipulative to their face, focusing more on the people around them in hopes to isolate them and make them rely solely on Red. Maybe use their clingy nature to show other people how important Red is to them, and make others think they aren't needed at all.
Though Red isnt the cuddly type as much as the others, he would adore the physical affection shown to him and would reciprocate the best the could. Lots of kisses and lots of bite marks to show everyone just who they belong to. Red is a big gift giver, specifically clothes and jewelry, and would shower his s/o with loving words and compliments (Especially around other people.) He'd also love to do more intimate things, like do their makeup and style their hair if they were interested, though that might end up leading to some... other intimate things.
Red might insist on being very publically affectionate, following them everywhere they go like work or school, likely neglecting his own classes to be with them just to make sure they aren't talking to anyone he doesnt know about. Sometimes he might do so without his s/o knowing.. but he doesnt do this too much. He likes other people knowing they are together and in love.))
