It’s for the visual novel “Bramble Strike”, written by Yamia, with art by 7^7 and music by, well, me.  It will be published by Black Beach Games with the  Mioleen and Anitami versions releasing simultaneously next season.  

In a magical kingdom by the sea (the game shares a setting with Yamia’s 4+ short stories), a cruel and predatory noble with his eyes on the throne has one of his rivals (and her closest attendants) killed.  When the city’s reds drag off the bodies, they realize that one of her secretaries is clinging to life, and their organizer, a woman with a thousand plans, begins devising one more-a plan that will take down their shared enemy and give her enough magical power to purify everyone in her district.  

The Magician's Trap

The dark elf made it to the central chamber of the dungeon first. Spotting the open tome and empty potion bottle on the altar, he quickly scanned the open page to find their trouble was just beginning. Before he could warn the emotional Sarovanya of the danger, the portal on the wall began to open. -- Ten years ago (what!?), I rendered this for RuntimeDNA's February Render Challenge whose theme was Red Fantasy. There are things I'd do differently now to get more atmosphere and such, but I still like it.
