Other great features of the Cold Steel Recon One are a scaled G10 handle that is contoured to your hand for a great non-slip grip. A black Teflon coating on the blades of the Recon One not only helps to keep you hidden from unwanted reflections but it also serves as a lubricant making the knife slide through a variety of materials easily. The Recon One tanto point knife has all of the same features as the other Recon knife except it also has the tanto point. A tanto point on this knife allows you to be able to stab through some of the toughest materials, like car hoods, without damaging the point of the knife. Offered in either plain edge or serrated you can saw and cut through rope with ease.
