Keep your alone life spotless with these house cleaning apps
A lot of people look forward to moving out of their parents’ home and into their first home, taking the opportunity to arrange things the way they want without the stress of nagging parents asking for room. Must be neat and everything is clean.
And for a while, it was just as enjoyable as it sounded.
But after a few weeks of living alone, reality slowly starts to come back and you realize that it’s not quite as simple and easy as it seems. You might start to wonder why there are so many dirty clothes piled up and where all this rubbish comes from.
Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. For those who live alone looking for a little help completing small but essential tasks, here are some apps that can prove very helpful.
LaundryGo
LaundryGo offers a face-to-face laundry service, where users place their dirty laundry in a pick-up box in front of their home. The box is removed and the clothes are washed, dry cleaned and then shipped back to the user. Submit your laundry request by 10pm and get your scented clothes back the next day.
Prices vary depending on the laundry service used by the user, ranging from 28,700 won to 64,200 won.
Recle
At first, garbage disposal in Korea can be a bit confusing. Garbage cannot be thrown together in one bag, as food waste, general waste and recyclable waste are all disposed of separately. For those who find it difficult to regulate waste treatment and recycling in Korea, Recle is your friend. Recle collects your trash and throws it out to you. Put all your trash in a kit provided by Recle and ask for a pick up service.
For first-time users, you can put the trash can in a plastic bag and stick a note afterwards that says “For garbage collection”. All you have to do is pay a flat base fare of 1,490 won, with mixed waste and recyclables fare starting at 100 won per 100g. Just put the trash can in front of the house and voilà, your trash will be treated.
