I had the pleasure in 2022 of seeing a rare book exhibition at the State Library of Victoria, featuring illustrated editions of Jane Austen’s novels!
The books are part of a 1897 (some sources also say 1898) boxed set by CE and HM Brock, published by JM Dent. It was the first set to include coloured illustrations. It’s so incredible to see in person, and I wish I could have seen more. This blog shows many more illustrations.
