When I was younger, I thought everything was a transaction. If someone gave me a compliment, I had to give one right back. If someone gave me a gift, I had to find something to give them in return. If I received money? Oh no⦠now I owed them forever. Even compliments turned into this weird tennis match. Theyād serve me one⦠and Iād scramble to hit it back. Usually with something completely inauthentic like, āUh⦠you too!ā š It didnāt feel good. It didnāt feel real. And it definitely didnāt let me actually receive. Now I just let it in. I smile. I say āthank you.ā And I actually feel the warmth of the moment. Because receiving isnāt about owing. Itās about allowing. Itās about letting good things land without guilt. You donāt have to trade, prove, or balance the scales. Sometimes⦠you just say thanks. And eat the cookie. šŖ Inside Worthy & Rising, we practise this kind of delicious, guilt-free receiving in our free 5-day challenge: ⨠The Door of Desire ⨠The Mirror of Lies ⨠The River of Receiving ⨠The Circle of Worth ⨠The Crown of Yes Come get your cookie. š Link in bio to join Worthy & Rising today.
