#rec week

Cap-IM Rec Week 2025 is coming soon and we'd love to have your input!  This year will be the 15th anniversary of Rec Week and we'd like to go big.

Rec Week runs for seven days and features a different topic every day. Rec Week will be July 21 through July 27.

Here is a spreadsheet with the themes from previous years and our rec lists from previous years are here.

We would love to have your input on potential topics. Please submit your ideas and suggestions by June 10. Rec Week 2025 topics will be announced towards the end of June.

Hide and seek by @jeemmasimmons - Fitzsimmons are hiding from their kids - so many family feels <3.

A fury wingman by @agentofship - Jemma’s cat really likes her neighbor Fitz, so it force them to talk and Fitz realize that cat owner is really nice and pretty. I love this story and I’m coming back to it a lot :).

I was crying when I met you by @agentofship - Jemma meets a crying guy and decides to help him out. And it’s beginning of interesting relationship. Must read!

5 times Jemma touched Fitz’s knee & 1 time he touched hers by @libbyweasley - I think title said it all! A story how this little touches change their relationship. So lovely <3.

Completely clueless by @libbyweasley - academy era AU. Jemma thinks Fitz has a crush on same girl so she starts to give him dating advices. The thing is...he has a crush on her. But she’s completely clueless ;). There is also second part - from Jemma’s POV - both worth reading!

Mop by @sunalsolove - Scis and Spies feels! Bobbi needs to clean after party and the rest is helping her. No matter how tired they are they’re not going let her do it alone. Lovely <3.

In all of time and space by @besidemethewholedamntime - collection of amazing one-shots with a lot of fluff <3. Rebecca is the best when it comes to fluff stories.

Love is more thicker than forget by @besidemethewholedamntime - there is pain and angst here but also a lot of fluff. It’s story when Jemma had accident and she has amnesia now, and Fitz is trying to help her remember. Love it <3.

Elephant and Castle by @the-nerdy-stjarna - tattoo artist Jemma and musician Fitz :). It’s a lovely story about people from different worlds and how they get close :).

The play’s the thing by @ughfitz - one more with musician Fitz, but this time Jemma is an actress. A story how they became friends and in the end - something more. So sweet <3.

Rain, Rain, don’t go away by @ughfitz - a story how rain helped Fitzsimmons get closer :). They met because of it and in the end - it helped them became something more :).

Ode to the childhood you deserve by @dilkirani - Fitzsimmons are going to be parents but because of his childhood Fitz is afraid of becoming a father. So he decides to talk to his mother. A lot feels.

There is many more stories I could rec today if only I had time :). But the ones above are amazing and if you didn’t read them yet - you totally should :).

I really should think about fics I want to recommend earlier ;). I don’t want to repeat myself- some fics I already rec fits into this category too ;). But I want to give shoutout to other stories...💕 All fics are Fitzsimmons-centric ;)!

Repairs and Restoration by @mech-bull (2016) - Jemma moves into new apartment and Fitz is maintenance man there. And a lot of things start to break in Jemma’s place. Bonus: Melinda May is her roommate ;).

Jemma’s to do list by chinesbakery on AO3 (2017)- Jemma have a list of sexual activities she want to try before something happens between her and..Milton. Her friend Fitz can help...a lot of smut, feelings and young Fitzsimmons ;).

Model agent by @robotgort (2018) - Fitz and Ward are undercover and in result there few pictures of Fitz that are not helping Jemma get over her crush :D. Amazing <3!

Dial O for Orgasm by @mech-bull (2015) - Jemma needs money, so she starts job on sex phone. Somehow she ends up talking to her best friend... a lot of smut, but also wonderful plot.

Full House by @agentofship (2018) - something terrible happens in Jemma’s life but she has Fitz by her side to help her. There is also Jemma’s younger sister. A lot of feels.

Blind dates by @agentofship (2017) - Fitzsimmons never met before, and now they both agree to go on blind date. And there is a lot of surprises waiting for them ;).

A night on the town by @libbyweasley (2018) - Fitzsimmons, Skye and Ward sneaked out from the Bus, and now they have to explain what happened. But some people have secrets about what really happened that night ;). The moment when I fall in love with Libby’s writing <3

Is that a challenge? by @libbyweasley (2018) - Jemma wants Fitz to be her first time. Beginning of my favorite verse where Fitzsimmons are Friends with benefits ;).

Undercover by @ritalara (2018) - season 2/3 AU, where Fitzsimmons went out to dinner, they talked and...decided they better as friends. But was that what really happened?

Impossible by @sunalsolove (2018) - season 1 AU where someone strange gives Jemma a baby and disappears. And now team need to discover what’s going on, and some discoveries gonna be really shocking.

Safe by @sunalsolove (2018) - set in 4x13 - Fitz saves a day and it makes Jemma really turn on ;).

I’m not gonna lie - I had problem with this day because I don’t really know what kind of fics should I put here. I mean...it would be easier if I had time to really think about it lol. And I’m late because my WiFi decided that I can’t tag anything :D.

But I will try with fics that are a little bit outside my comfort zone/not my thing or ship but I adore them <3.

Bright light by @sunalsolove (Quakerider) - I like this ship but it’s not my OTP so I usually stick to one shots if i read something with them. But this multichapter is brilliant! And beside amazing romantic relationship between those two, there is also wonderful team as family dynamic and I just love it! Also background Fitzsimmons are the cutest <3.

Dom!Jemma verse by @sunalsolove (Fitzsimmons) - I love reading about FS and 90% of fics I read are about them. But I’m not gonna lie - I’m not a fan of BDSM and I usually avoid fics like that. But this verse really works for those two. Also Sun is one of those writers who made me enjoy things I thought I don’t like :D. So I didn’t have a chance against her wonderful writing and I fall for it too ;).

Birthday Present by @ready-to-kick-some-ass (Hunter/Fitzsimmons, FitzHunter) - as birthday gift from Jemma - Fitz gets Hunter, sex with Hunter exactly :D. It’s not my usually ship, but there is hint of Scis & Spies at the end and smut is really hot!

Tremors by Lavendergaia on AO3 (FitzDaisy) - when it’s definitely not my ship, and this story is mostly smut - I really love it. It’s a story about those two and their attempt to get rid of tension and frustration. And even if it’s FitzDaisy smut - there is still a lot of hint of Fitzsimmons because Fitz still loves (but it’s season 2 AU so they’re not together yet) and Daisy/Skye is still their ship captain ;). There is second story in this verse where she helps FS finally get together :)
