OUAT and Happy Endings
So...
Ruby’s happy ending was finding her True Love, Dorothy, and living happily ever after in Oz (so far).
Jefferson’s happy ending was being reunited with his daughter and never being bothered with hero or villain shenanigans again.
Ariel’s happy ending is living happily ever after with Eric on an island, collecting human artifacts, so far.
Alice’s happy ending was marrying her true love, having a family, and writing about her adventures.
August’s happy ending is getting a second chance with his father, while Gepetto’s happy ending is Pinocchio becoming a real son, then later reuniting with him(?).
Ursula’s happy ending was getting her voice back and reconciling with her father.
Neal’s happy(?) ending was having a family again, then dying a hero.
Well...it's not the worst track record, taken as a whole. I'm going to have to laugh if the entire fandom has gotten its emotions put through the wringer with thoughts of happy endings put in jeopardy, only to find that the characters of actors who are leaving all get the Jefferson treatment - just offscreen, living normal lives, doing fluffy things and nothing of note.
