Hi, I'm Rebecca!
Tell us a little about yourself After receiving her Montessori Preschool and Kindergarten Teaching Certificate from the North American Montessori Center, Rebecca has taught for eight years in various educational environments. Rebecca is committed to creating inspired spaces that nurture children as they grow and learn. She was the Lead Teacher at a Montessori school in Colorado, English Montessori School in South Korea, as well as an International Baccalaureate and Montessori School in Manhattan. Rebecca strived to foster connections with children that bridged the gap between home and school. Rebecca is excited to create environments that inspire children to learn and grow through purposeful, fun exploration!
What is your philosophy on and approach to behavioral management? Typically, I set clear expectations from the start. When a child defers from those expectations, I gently remind them or redirect when necessary. Generally by keeping expectations clear and providing exciting work options, I haven't had too many behavioral issues. By providing fresh material, engaging work, and choices within limitations, children seem to respond to this approach well.
