Rebby and Hotaru are BFF that just decided to move in together. They knew each other for years. Today is their first grocery shopping trip together. Hotaru has a list like she always does. Rebby is going to swing it like he always does.

Hotaru is the only one with a car and license, so she gets to drive. Rebby got to pick the store. At the store, Rebby rushes in and grabs two carts. “Do we really need two?” Hotaru asked putting her purse into one. “One for each,” Rebby cheered. Hotaru just shrugs and goes with it.

Hotaru brings out her list and a pen. Rebby is in the snacks and soda ales. He's grabbing everything and shoving them in the cart. Hotaru checks things off her list and checks to see how much everything cost. She has a budget for grocery. She needs money for other things. Like the upcoming baby, she's pregnant with.

She hasn't told anyone yet. It's not her baby she's surrogate for someone. Now it's time to check out. Hotaru only has what she needs. Rebby has nothing but snacks and soda. “How much was all that?” Hotaru asked to bring out her phone. She taps the calculator icon. “I don't know,” Rebby answered heading over to the checkout.

Hotaru was able to figure out how much all those snacks are. “There is no way we can afford all those snacks. Not with a baby on the way!” She yells. On the way she thinks about how she'll tell Rebby, they can't afford all those snacks.

It's not like he needs them anyway. She was able to cut him off. Hotaru has always been faster than Rebby. One of the few good things about being short, she can duck under things to move faster. “Rebby about all these snacks and soda,” she tries not to look into his eye. Just in case he does those puppy dog eyes.

'You can do this,' she keeps repeating in her head. Still not looking at him. “You have to put some back. We can't afford it all,” she said after a few minutes. Rebby doesn't understand. “How can we not? I'm a prince and you're a princess.” “There's a reason for that. First lets put at least half back.”

Back at the checkout, Rebby asked her again. “Why did we have to take some back? I know you said I we can't afford it. I don't know why?” “There is a reason for that. We need to save money since I'm pregnant. Remember I told you that I was going to be a surrogate for my cousin?” Rebby thinks for a minute before he nods.
