PRONGHORN SKULL - BONELUST FINISHED BONE PROCESSING EXPERIMENT UPDATE ❤ This pronghorn was burial processed for a couple months, dug up and sold to me with a layer of dried on flesh still there. So I macerated it for about a month because it was a cold time of year. No degreasing was needed because it had been buried for so long. After maceration the peroxide bath began. It was in peroxide for months because I was only using recycled peroxide for it because it took so much of it in a 5 gallon bucket, and I’d honestly forget about it. So it had several peroxide baths. It turned out gorgeous. Only some light soil staining in small areas and grave wax I hand removed. PHOTOS: 1) Finished skull. 2) As received just before maceration. 3) Just out of maceration, and before first regular 3% peroxide bath. 4) After first peroxide bath. Mandible/teeth are done. Skull went back into peroxide. PS - Pronghorn are NOT antelopes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pronghorn _ PLEASE DO NO PM ME YOUR PROCESSING QUESTIONS - Sorry, I no longer have time to help anyone one-on-one.
