According to tumblr, as far as I know, a hipster picture is one in which the subject is most likely either a landscape, an inanimate object with some sort of significance, or a good-looking person who is probably turned away from the camera. These pictures can have text superimposed on them, which should be meaningful in some way. My pictures are generally in this mold. They just have lyrics and quotes from theatre-related things on them :)
