South Lee County May Real Estate Activity

South Lee County home sales for Mid-May show for the week of May 11th in the Southern Ft. Myers, Estero and Bonita Springs area, there were 164 properties sold compared to 210 properties sold the prior week.

Southern Fort Myers finished the week with 69 real estate transactions down from 76 during the prior week. Of the 69 homes sold, 39 percent were vacant lots, 19 percent were condos and 41 percent were single family homes. The other properties sold were commercial units.

Bonita Springs was in the second position with 61 sales down from 70 properties sold the week of May 4th. Home sales consisted of: 8 percent were vacant lots, 13 percent were mobile homes, 33 percent were condos and 34 percent were single family homes. So, the other properties sold during the week were a coop, agricultural lot and multi-family units.

Finally, Estero rounded out the week with 33 sales up versus the previous week when 61 properties sold. Of the 33 real estate sales, 9 percent were vacant lots, 36 percent were condos and 48 percent were single family homes. And, the remaining properties sold in Estero were mobile homes.

In review, based on the latest South Lee County Home Sales report for the week of the 11th, sales were broken down by the following property types in Southwest Florida:  66 single family homes, 45 condos, 35 vacant lots, 10 mobile homes, 3 commercial units, 3 multi-family units, 1 coop and 1 agricultural lot sold.
