My Goodbye Prayer
Please Lord, Help me to be strong enough to let go of this unhealthy relationship and to instead place myself with you. Calm me O Lord. Please God, forgive me for sinning and for taking my eyes away from you. Bring me back to you. Father, I need you. I feel so small, and alone, and I keep forgetting that You love me, the kind of selfless love that I need from you. I keep forgetting that I don't need him, why do I keep sacrificing my heart for him? Show me Lord, the difference between pride and self-with. Teach me how to love myself and not be selfish. I need your strength God. I want to let him go. You say God, that I am worth rubies and I am to be treasured, why then do I allow myself to be used and forgotten? Why do I allow indecisiveness to dictate my happiness? God, for whatever reason I allowed him into my heart, I need you to remove him from it. His heart is hard and he doesn't see me through your eyes. He is so far removed from you that my fear of his path keeps me from my path towards you. I love him, that much is clear but, I love you too, and what you have planned for me is unmeasurable to what I am trying to do on my own. ...God, take care of him. He needs you. I am scared for him, and while it's true that my worries and fears won't go away, I am trusting you to handle him. Protect him from himself. Protect him from the Enemy's attacks. Lord, be kind to him. Above all he needs your love. He needs you to show him how to love. Thank you Jesus for your continued outpouring of never-ending grace. I love you more than I love him...it's time I started acting like it. -Jessica F.
