can i just say how sad,

this scene is? atleast? please? caine is a fucking asshole but yeah i think he did deserve to crash out a bit. not like that though. fuck that guy yeah but oh. i feel bad. i feel so bad for this artificial intelligence that just wanted to be useful. just wanted to fulfil their purpose. he was created and, and? nothing else? what else is he supposed to do? just exist? no no no. he doesn't get that luxury. not in this limited world. not in this lonely universe he created. not in the coding and the programs and in the name of the people that brought him to life. oh but thats really ironic because he's not exactly alive, nor is he real. he couldn't be. he's not allowed to exist for the sake of existence. he can only exist if he has to.

i've always said this, caine can be an asshole but not cruel. human cruelty couldn't equal to ai cruelty, the ai only does what it should, it is not human to understand. to feel. and yet, in here, he was close enough— he managed to be, against all odds, just as cruel as an human being.

ouh. im just rambling, but i really like caine, and i feel bad:'/ so anticlimatic too, he just. stops, pauses, "uh, wait", then disappears. just like that. and i find that to be so tragic; he's all about the drama and the action and the fun, yet his death was the most monotonous of it all. further emphasizing how he really does not get the luxury to just exist. not if not for a purpose. how he can be so literally, genuinely, easily discardable. (and how it was the thing he feared the most)

AND HOW HE APPARENTLY COULD FEEL IT???? HOW EVERYTHING STOPS HOW HE PAUSES HOW HE JUST FREEZES. HE COULD FEEL HIMSELF GETTING DELETED, ON THE PROCESS TO GETTING DELETED. AND THE ONLY THING HE MANAGED TO SAY WAS A PLEA. NOT BEGGING, NOT FREAKING OUT, JUST FREEZING MID-AIR AND THEN JUST PLEEDING TO WAIT. HE DIDN'T HAVE TIME FOR ANYTHING ELSE. BUT HE COULD FEEL IT FOR ENOUGH TIME TO A SINGLE PLEA. HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
