Characters – Oliver x reader
A/N: This is based on the season finale. SO SPOILERS! There are no explosions on the island and everyone else has safely made it to the plane. I am also so sorry this is so sad, it came to me when I was watching it and it just haven’t left my head since
You came down to the base, just having finished you shift at the PD.
‘What can I help you with?’ You asked as you stepped up the stairs and stood beside Felicity. She looked and you knew something was wrong.
‘What’s happened?’ You asked, standing up straight.
‘Chase is threatening William.’ Felicity said, since Oliver was constantly pacing. You nodded and stepped forward.
‘Oliver.’ You said loudly, he stopped and faced you. You smiled slightly.
‘I’ll go watch him and Samantha.’ You told him, he hesitated but you nodded you head and he returned it. You were almost at the elevator when he called out.
‘Be careful!’ He said, you smiled before doing a mock salute.
‘Always am.’ You returned it, as the doors closed.
You blinked your eyes a couple of times, adjusting to the dimly light room. You looked to your left, when you saw William huddled in a corner. You looked up and made eye contact with Chase.
‘Ah, see William. She’s fine.’ He said, walking over and bending in front of him.
‘Stay away from him.’ You hissed. Chases tutted and ran a hand to gently down his face, he turned and smiled at you.
‘You care a lot for a boy who was born when you and Oliver were together.’
‘Oliver’s made many mistakes, but you cannot hold a grudge against him. William is his son, he’ll always come first.’ You told Chase, you watched his face change. He wanted you to hold a grudge, anything against Oliver, so this would be easier.
As Oliver walked into the middle of the forest he saw four people in cages. Felicity, Thea, Samantha and Diggle, but he couldn’t see Y/N or William. He looked over to Samantha.
‘Where’s William?’ He asked, urgently.
‘I don’t know, he separated us. Y/N is with him still.’ She said, Oliver didn’t know whether to relax or to be more worried, knowing you are involved in Chase’s plan.
You felt as if you were swaying, you turned to William.
‘Can you see out any hole?’ You asked him, since he was closer to the walls. He kneeled up higher and nodded his head.
‘Water.’ He simply said. You nodded, you were on a boat. You moved your hands about behind you. When you felt a metal, object attached to the wooden pillar. A nail. You sighed a breath of air, you started rubbing the rope up and down, creating friction. You could hear someone climbing onto the boat and starting the engine. The boat stilled for a minute, before revving up and speeding away. You fell back slightly, hissing as the nail caught your forearm.
‘Where is my son!’ You heard Oliver say. When you had freed your hand, you made a move for William but the door swung open and William was grabbed.
You stood up looked through the small, mucky window and you could see Chase with a raised gun to Oliver’s head, holding William close, teasing Oliver.
‘You know Oliver, it’s a shame. Everything you come into contact with dies.’ Chase said. Oliver’s face grew hard, but Chase turned the gun towards William, it portrayed anger.
‘You son, well he’ll be dead after he finds out what his dad really is.’ Chase continued then he looked at you and smirked.
‘Oh and your lover, what will happen to her?’ Chase said, as he pushed out the door and raised the gun to your head. You walked out, scowling at Chase as he smiled watching Oliver having to choose between two people he cared about very much.
‘It’s Y/N or William. The one you loved or your own blood.’ Chase said. Oliver looked over you and then back to William, you weren’t going to giving him a choice. You bent down and quickly yanked the arrow out the door. You raised the arrow, and suddenly lowering it.
You winced as the arrow pierced your stomach, you pulled it back out and raised it again, pushing William out the way. You pushed the arrow, coated in your blood into Chase’s chest. As you faced Chase. His smirk fell quickly. He looked into your eyes and when you looked down and back up as you pushed it further in. He fell to his knees and you went with him.
‘You don’t get to decide who dies.’ You told him, he held onto your arm tightly. He spluttered blood and coughed.
‘You do not play God.’ You said weakly. When he finally let go of your arm you removed your hand from the arrow. You fell back onto the door. You looked down and saw that the blood had fully soaked your top. When you heard shuffling, you looked up and saw Oliver, his forehead creased and wrinkled.
‘Why?’ He asked. You smiled slightly, trying to sit up but failing.
‘Why?’ He asked again as he pulled you onto his lap, you smiled up to him. you looked behind him at William and smiled even wider.
‘So he can live.’ You simply said. You reached your hand up and wiped away the stray tear from Oliver’s cheek. He grabbed your hand and kept it there.
‘I’m sorry.’ He murmured out.
‘It’s okay.’ You said weakly, you were going cold. Oliver brung his lips to your hand, choking on the tears he was trying to hold back. you looked over his shoulder to William and he looked at you, tears falling silently down his cheeks.
‘Be good for your dad and mum.’ You told him and he nodded. You smiled before facing the sky, you closed your eyes and let out a final sigh.
Oliver took his lips away from your hand, and placed it gently down. He lent forward, going onto his knees as he pressed one final kiss on your forehead, before lowering you to the deck of the boat.
‘Oliver?’ He heard coming through the coms.
‘Yeah?’ He choked out, He pulled William close, resting his chin on top of his head.
‘What happened?’ She asked.
‘Chase is dead.’ Oliver said, strongly. Looking at his dead body with and arrow out his chest.
‘William?’ Felicity asked again. Oliver knew what was coming next.
‘Alive.’ He said, hugging him tighter.
‘Y/N?’ Felicity asked, he looked towards your dead body. Felicity knew getting no reply was bad. She held her breath, the tears falling, the team looking on and knowing that it wasn’t good.
‘She didn’t make it.’ Was Oliver’s reply and he switched the coms off.
