You loved hunting. The freedom, being in the open air. Everything about it you loved. Crossing through the Seam of 12 and past the horrible electric fence was a blessing. You hadn’t been doing it long but being with your two best friends was a nice escape from the tiny hut you lived in raising your 4 brothers on your own. Mum had passed away a few weeks ago and your dad in the mining accident years before. Katniss and Gale had been really welcoming to you.
About a month before your mum died you spent a lot of time sitting by the fence and wishing to escape, take the boys with you and flee. Then one day you noticed a small brown-haired girl not much older than you pass through a gap in the fence and shortly after a hunky looking guy do the same, you followed wearily and eventually you guys became great friends.
Today was a usual day and you sent the boys off to school with Prim and set off into the woods. After crossing the fence you found your tree of bits. It wasn’t much just some string, a knife and some other simple snare things, and set of in to the wood. There you found Katniss and Gale already starting and whilst Katniss was shooting some bits you and Gale collected from the snares and some lovely plants that had started to flourish.
