trigger-page-shared-reset?
I can never find this part of the codebase so I am making this post for my future self. It lives in dashboard.navigation, alright?
Let's examine what it's doing...
It's just a big cond statement. A function that returns true or false. The arguments are old-page and page. So we are comparing the page we are going to with the page with are leaving.
Each condition considers the old/new handler & the old/new route params. This makes enough sense to me.
But what happens when the function evaluates to true (the else AKA default case!!!!)?
trigger-page-shared-reset evaluated to true:
The re-frame app/db atom is modified
swap! is called to replace :app/shared-page with '{}', an empty map
Alright, I think I am good here.

What Excites You?
I am not talking about lust, or sexual fantasy or even a relationship with a beloved friend. I am referring to the stuff you are doing that floats your boat. What activity that you are doing regularly rings the bell? Is there a passion that fills most of your assignments? Does a job well done make you feel inspired?
Or can we create meaning in everything we do? Can I re-frame doing vacuuming and…

Attitude, Will it be Fear or Trust?
I really like the pastor at my church. His homilies/sermons are usually relevant and usable in my daily life. Today's was no exception. I found his words encouraging and hopeful.
He began by referencing the Gospel of the calling of Peter. He said the first sentence set the scene. The first sentence spoke of the arrest of John the Baptist, the prophet who foretold of Jesus' arrival. Jesus lacked his right hand man and needed to call in a replacement. Enter Peter and Andrew.
Father asked the congregation what attitude we take on, when something comes up in our life that is seemingly bad. Do we take the attitude of "this is the end of the world" or more of an "opportunity to grow?" His point was the attitudes we usually choose from are fear of how this bad thing will affect me today and all my future days, or a choice of trust that God can use this for my good, has a bigger plan in mind and wants the best for me.
Time often gives us perspective to look back and see the good that grows from our worst dilemmas. Having an expectation that something good will come out of it, is a great way to relax into the process. Father spoke of a time of transition. Transitions and change are hard. But they are not necessarily bad.
On a secular note, Christina Aguilera sings a song called Fighter. While she is singing about recovering from a broken heart due to a breakup, the sentiment can be applied to other life situations.
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know Just how capable I am to pull through So I want to say thank you Cause it [Chorus] 'Cause it makes me that much stronger Makes me work a little bit harder It makes me that much wiser So thanks for making me a fighter Made me learn a little bit faster Made my skin a little bit thicker Makes me that much smarter So thanks for making me a fighter

What life experiences have you had that seemed one way and turned out to be a better part of you and your life? What experiences can you look back on and actually say "thank you?"
