the activity was to do 20 tasks in a given period of time. our timer was a candle. before the candle light goes off all the given tasks must be done. after discussing the rules to the participants, they started to move and do the task. at first most of them were not moving and were in a different place i guess. the facilitators (including me) kept on telling them that the candle was burning fast (even though it really wasnt :)) and that they had to move fast to get the job done. some moved but still some didnt. i remember seeing girls in the corner saying "isipin nyo nga guys 20 tasks magagawa ba yan sa oras na binigay, shungga shungga". i was like "ugh. di kayo nagalaw dyan tas nagtataka kayo kung pano magagawa lahat yan." of course i didnt say it outloud, to be polite. when the time was up they didnt finish all the tasks, but it was really cute seeing all the kids doing all the work. hahahah. at the end of the day, it was a really nice experience. cause it looked like to some they really had a good time. and thats the main goal of the activity in the first place. :)) fun fun day yesterday.
