He sits at the diner where they so often meet for breakfast. Almost a week had gone by since he’d last seen her, since she left his apartment in the middle of a blizzard just to get away from him. It’s not like he could blame her. He’d been high off his mind, still drowsy from the anesthetics and irrational because of the crystal. So now he just chose to sit in silence, fingers tapping the table silently as he waited for her to arrive.
