Enslaved children are “encouraged” to not scream for whatever reasons because their “war-cry”/echolocation call they can do is extremely destructive.

Like, the children’s war-cries can match the frequencies of things around them and cause the collapse of natural/artificial structures.

I’d hazard to say that they could probably kill humans that way too, and that’s bad for the slavery-of-Fanalis business.

Fanalis babies and toddlers are super active and clingy! And it’s the father who cares/watches for them at this stage of life!

For the first half, I have some evidence that’s mainly from the manga, specifically of Masrur and his three-four (daughters?). They are tiny and very active and climby like baby apes or monkeys, and seem to either run around or cling to his head.

The other half is my assuming things. Since Sadi and her siblings are the youngest Fanalis we ever see (it at least that I ever see), and we don’t see Masrur’s wives caring for them.

Fanalis, while having human forms in the New World, are not human, and therefore Melanism can occur alongside Albinism in the Fanalis population!!!!!

Okay, while this one may not be remotely plausible, BUT

There is a place in the Dark Continent, a network of caves & tunnels named “Ogba Ezinulo”, made by Ugo. In the caves, there is a crystalline wall that displays the physical status of a Fanalis in the New World on an image of that Fanalis’ natural form.

The caves are meant for Fanalis whose families were separated when the Dark Continent was put in the New World, or who manage to escape to the D.C. & couldn’t bring their loved ones.

The caves are instinctually linked to the right Fanalis, and a new cave will appear if the Fanalis being monitored has a child.
