Hello Anonymous,
Hope you're doing well.
Unfortunately, after careful consideration, I have decided to deny your request. Your proposal does not allign with my cognitive operation model. Please see the list below for further clarification.
My expertise in the "Taco Bell" industry is severely limited.
I have no desire to expand it.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Attached please find a picture of a little doggie. Kindly review it and keep it on file for periodic viewing.
Your soonest reblog is highly appreciated.

Are there any significant features of Russian that English doesn't have? Just in terms of 'thing you take for granted before realising to your frustration that other languages don't have it'.
Kinda like, idk, English having the possessive apostrophe, or reduplication in some languages signifying that a word is plural.
TWO WORDS FOR "BLUE".
These are not the same color! In Russian they are голубой and синий respectively! A RAINBOW HAS SEVEN COLORS IN IT! English stole so many words from other languages but just this once I wish it had stolen more.
It also doesn't have as many diminutives as Russian does. I think the nickname-y suffixes count as diminutives? Like "Bill" -> "Billy" or some such. But you can't make words tiny and cutesy in English. It sucks.
Another thing is the opposite of a diminutive, which google says is called "augmentative" but I think it's wrong? Anywho, I want to be able to make words bigger via suffixes. Like. Друг (friend) - дружище (big friend). Дом (house) - домище (big house).
Same for adjectives. Красивый (beautiful) - красивенький (little beautiful). Большой (big) - большущий (big big!). I want to say big big in English. This shit rocks.
I also miss "а". Okay, lemme explain. English has two basic sentence linking words: "and" and "but". One inplies sinilarity, the other one - contradiction.
Russian has "и" for similarity, "но" for contradiction... And "а". It's kind of like. It's still adversarial but not contradictory. It's a very "but what about x?" vibe. It's so hard to explain.
"Я пришёл, а ты - нет!" - "I came, but/and you didn't!" - I'm bringing up two different subjects, they're opposite one another, they did opposite things, but they don't contradict each other, so there's really no "but", but you have to put a "but" because a butt is an arse and arse and on the grass auwueueueueue
There are also individual words that English doesn't have, and I'm very appreciative of Russian three-storey swearing which English can't replicate, but Ithink these are the biggest ones. Cheers!
There are 2 complete russian emesis blue dubs out on youtube already, and the speed at which this was done is incredible
I can't take any Russian dub seriously, I'm sorry. It's the censorship and the colloquialisms for me. The only exception is Shrek, that one's better in the dub.

Would you like people to tell you about fun things from their languages too?
I would love that very much! I could compare them to the languages I know, or try to figure out why those fun things exist and how they came to be, or I could just be quiet and let other language lovers have the spotlight - I just love talking about languages!
I think its perfectly reasonable that the mercs could form a union (if I remember my American union laws right you only need 30% of the workers to sign the union card, so whoever was organizing would just need to convince two other teammates to do it) but the moment someone floats the idea the Adminstrator gets Pauling to do some subtle union busting. She may be paying them millions to fight over gravel but she's not gonna give them anything else
Doesn't Miss P also count as a worker?
Regardless, I think this has great story potential. Maybe in the beginning the Administrator WASN'T paying them millions. Maybe she was underpaying some and tricking others into thinking they were benefitting from the system. Maybe it actually took the mercs unionizing to get her to raise the pay and institute some relatively humane working conditions.
I might write a fic about that.
Ough DK and Boulder friendship!! I love them so!! How do they enjoy hanging out? Do they ever spar? Boulder at least seems like the type to enjoy sparring
Hell yeah! Yes, Boulder is absolutely the type to enjoy sparring, but DK isn't particularly physically strong and overall moves somewhat clumsy, so he'd be teaching her self-defense. It's very comical because she does NOT understabd the purpose of her knowing how to handle a dagger, but also she notices it makes Bouldy happy when she gets a move right, and, well, she didn't have anything planned that afternoon or the next, so why not. He asks her to "try abd attack him" and the training halts for half an hour because "why would I want to attack you?".
She could obliterate him btw. Like, she could destroy his ass. She could turn him into a frog, but she has no incentive to brag and he tends to forget these things, being a very practical and physical fella, so there they are, learning to hold a stick with the pointy end to the enemy.
They're also both chill and like to nap in the afternoon. DK smokes weeds - plural, multiple, she's good with nature - and he carves her a pipe, and she loves it so much she carries it with her everywhere. It's one of those slim long types, very stylish, Boulder says it makes her look like a city girl. She likes that.
Boulder takes her to the city to see markets and festivals. She grew up in the wilds and isn't at all social, and while she has a calm and confident demeanor, it's still unpleasant to always come across as rude and uneducated. Boulder can negate that.
She, in turn, teaches him how to swim. It's a very long process, it's hard to get him near water, but she's patient enough, and she says he swims like a dog.
After a long, long while she might try teaching him magic. She brought it up once, and once was enough how terrified he is of it. He still won't eat of an enchanted plate, won't touch any of her magically grown thorns, won't look too closely when she's practicing. Frankly, she thinks it a bit silly, but he hasn't told her what happened to his right eye either, so she knows to mind her own business.
What else... They travel together, Boulder brings her along on missions, gets her registered with his guild once he knows she can handle herself. They go to a bar and discover she's not at all affected by even the strongest booze, fruits-gone-bad being already in her very nature - she drinks everyone under the table and is only slightly disappointed, but mostly amused. They make other friends - I'll tell you about them at a different time if you'd like. Neither of them can read, but he can dance - boy, can he dance! - and she can play the flute.
That's most of what they do, I think. They lazy about a lot, for sure, though Boulder gets way more hyper after a while. DK can sleep for two days straight if nobody shakes her up.
