Another ordinary morning for her.

She has a shit job with a shit pay living in a shit apartment, having a shit love love life.

Why is she still getting up in the morning, anyways?

It's because she is wishing for a miracle, for change. And she believes that it will still come into her life sooner or later.

She's off to ask questions again to check out the alibi of their primary suspect of the Henry killings.

As she was about to enter the hotel that the primary suspect owns, she sees other FBI agents running to catch a muscular guy who was resisting arrest.

Nothing new to her.

She didn't hesitate to tackle the guy to the ground and put handcuffs on him. He was pleading that he was innocent, that he killed "Kate" for self defense.

She heard those kind of pleas long ago.

As she about to hand the handcuffed suspect to the other agents, she knows that she should continue to believe in miracles.

She saw Ray Haffner. The guy that should be dead. The guy that IS dead. She attended the funeral of the guy. She even saw his dislocated limb.

She even cried for the guy, guilty of setting him out to die, even though he was innocent.

Why is he here then, walking properly and even working at the FBI?

When the call between Grace and her ended, she had closed her eyes, trying to soak everything in, trying to understand. After a while the pang of guilt inside her has set in – she had thought that Ardilles was just freaking out, was just freaking out, that he was only being a paranoid. He was right. His instincts was right. He trusted her and yet he is now dead.

And the local police doesn’t know the situation yet.

After that, she felt bad especially for Grace and Wayne. They have already retired of the life of law enforcement and yet they are still affected by it in the present day. Not only that – their kids are affected too. She hopes that this… thing wouldn’t turn out to be ugly, especially for the couple – they deserve to live in silence. They already did a lot for the law.

And now, she is waiting for Ray to come to their spot to inform him about… this. About the imminent danger that they are facing at the moment because of… what? Because of doing what is right? Because of serving justice? Why?

Why is the CBI still looming on their lives even though it was already over a long time ago?

She just hopes that this game of whack-a-mole will be solved as fast as possible.

Why aren't the painkillers kicking in?

When she tackled a fleeing suspect, she broke her right fibula when it landed awkwardly on the hard parking pavement.

And it hurts like a bitch.

Though, it reminds her that she needs to thank Grace for basically being her savior - giving her a ride to the hospital and into her apartment, volunteering in getting the confession out of the suspect, and even asking her if she can do the paperwork for her once she got out of the hospital in crutches.

DING DONG!

That's most probably Grace, handing her the paperworks and maybe, even giving her her share on the case closed pizza.

She shouted, notifying that she's about to open the door.

I hate walking on crutches.

After a few minutes, she finally reaches the door and greets Grace hastily.

"Thanks Grace...".
