A late afternoon meeting had run later than anticipated and by the time it ended, Leo had less than satisfied with the day's work that had been. He had needed to find some documents for a case and then had to bring them up to his office to look them over. But he hadn't gotten a chance to look for said items but figured it was tomorrow's problem. Instead, he didn't want to go home angry or frustrated and figured a nice long walk through the park would be nice. Just as he was exiting the elevator he almost bumped into a very familiar face, Ray Clairmont, and taking a step back, Leo took a breath. "Good evening Mayor, sorry I got a little ahead of myself there. How are you?"

When: August 15, 2025

The rumble of the ground beneath his feet, the groaning of the building, and the booms coming from outside, threw Leo back to his days in the FBI. His first instainct was to take cover, but as soon as everything happened, it all settled down, his hands releasing their grips from the edge of his desk. Getting up to see what was going on, he got an alert about it being an earthquake. And judging by the lack of any sort of plan that had been gone over or any type of preparation, he knew he had to check on everyone and then go see the Mayor. Heading up to the mayor, he climbed the stairs, two at a time. And didn't even bother knocking, "Mayor, are you okay? What's the plan? How can I help?"

⚙️ - After all was said and done, the both of them safe from the madness of the past few weeks and having finally gotten the townhouse cleaned up enough to establish themselves with their roommates, the half elf sighed, leaning on Ray gently.

“Let’s not worry about figuring out a way out of here today, okay?” They might not have the opportunity to celebrate together like this again. And even if it wasn’t his “real” birthday, it would be the first time Ray could celebrate without seeing it as another turn of the clock ticking down to their deaths. Even if not everything was quite as he’d like it to be, Norman wouldn’t give it up for the world. “I have some ideas, but is there anything you’d like to do today, birthday boy?”
