it's been a good night. hours earlier, up on the stage, albeit brief, it was just jude, and they could feel the energy radiating, how their music was resonating through the crowd, that they were liking what he was doing. now, hours later, they still feel that buzz, as well as the exhaustion in their bones, lying face down on the couch, wings spanning to each side, just as tired as the rest of them, if not more. while lying like this looks quite bizarre, it's the most comfortable; the tip of one wing brushes the ground, the other is propped on the back of the couch. when they hear the telltale noise of keys and a lock being turned, they hold up one hand to wave. "heyâ" the voice is muffled, before they prop their head up on the pillow, partially seeing the entrance. "i got leftovers from the show tonight. i don't know what though. didn't check."
