I C E L A N D . Always looking up, looking forward. I’ve spent the last 2 days with a complete stranger I met through Couchsurfing, and it’s knocked me off my feet. I’ve not met someone so remarkably similar to me in such a long time, and I’ve met many people I think I share much in common with. Yet, there are these funny differences, like that she’s a girl. The female version of me (or perhaps I’m the male version of her). All that being said, there was this crazy bond, but almost no sexual attraction, no romantic passion, and I thought that was strange as well... . But all that being said, she’s incredible. Thoughtful, curious, open-minded, playful. I find it amusing just how quick and seamlessly we got to be so comfortably friends with each other, sharing all of our things, talking about every aspect of our lives that came up. We spent 2 10-hour days driving around this crazy alien planet and not once was there a single awkward, or strange, or unpleasant feeling. And saying so long to her today was like saying bye to my sister. . The world continues to fascinate me. My lifestyle these days continues to fascinate me. I truly rarely know what the next day is going to bring. And like I told Allison (the girl) today while amidst our adventure, “I don’t know if I can ever go back to ‘normal.’” . 😂 . Keep being amazing Allison, and maybe I’ll take you up on the invite to sail from Australia to Madagascar with your mom and step-dad! (I’m the type to.) .
