so- lithium was initially envisioned as a kind of deuteragonist to ion, like some type of complicated friend figure with secretly sinister motives. i decided that in practice, since i want ratworld to be a game, i think that the best role for her would be a kind of guide/tutorial character that ion is in contact with after she crashes to earth from the satellite all the ratpeople live on. possible sinister motives remain... but we'll see
