A Rat Problem
By Izzy
You wake up one day, squirming out of sleep as the sun peeks through open curtains. You sigh. You are alone. It is warm, calm, and all yours. You don't want to get out of bed. So you sit there for about an hour, as time moves slowly around you. You don't do much all day, scrolling on your phone, eating, and watching television. Everything is a sort of blur; everything moves slow. Until youre interrupted by a sound. At first it could've been confused as the house settling or the trick of the tired mind. But slowly you come to realize this is not just a fluke. It is movement. Within your walls. You turn your phone off and lower the volume on your television. You wait. Until you hear it again. Movement. You never thought there might have been a rat problem before, but with the quickness of the sound and the area you lived in being known for small rodents, that was the first thing your mind turned to. You sigh; the idea of a rat moving around in your home filled you with a sick, gross feeling. You'd have to figure this out. So you go to sleep, thinking nothing of it.
You wake up the next day to the same warm bed and same rays of sun. You don't want to leave your bed. So you don't. You lie there, your eyes open for about an hour as you just lie there. Until you hear a rustling. You then remember the night before. Yes, there was that same sound the night before. You groan, really not wanting to deal with this. So you don't. You endure it for the day. You scroll on your phone, eat, and watch television. As you hear it shuffle in your walls. You almost tune it out. You create a method for doing so, a method of just ignoring it. And this works. Until it doesn't. You wake up the next morning to the same warm bed and the same sun and a loud squeal. Ear-piercing it was, a wailing of sorts. You grit your teeth, sitting up, looking around. The sound was muffled, as if it were coming from outside of your house. And at first you think it is, walking to your window and opening the blinds. All is as it normally is. There is no apparent source for it outside Your heart pounds a little until you remember. The rat! Maybe the damn thing got trapped, and you really won't have to deal with it yourself. You think that's what happened as the squealing dies down, and your home silent. It must have died. Good for you. So you go about your day. You scroll on your phone, eat, and watch television.
You wake up the next day to not a warm bed, but a terrible pain. Nibbles off the tips of your fingers. Your hand must have been hanging off the side of your bed as you slept. You feel not fear, but rage. This damn thing had to go. You go on your phone, looking up how to get rid of it. Removal services? You were damned if you were going to pay for some chums to get rid of one rat. All day as you went about the motions, the problem lingered in your mind. You figure you'll come up with something tomorrow. You wake up the next day to your warm bed and even warmer light peeking through your blinds. Today's the day you fix the rat problem. Or is it? You don't hear anything around you. You don't see any new damage. So you ignore it. As you had before. You go through the motions. Scroll on your phone, eat, watch ... Wait. You stare at your cupboard. That damn rat had torn open every single piece of food you owned. Cereal boxes ripped open and gutted, ramen packages left torn up and fringed from sharp teeth, and various different food boxes left ruined by that damn rat. That was it. It had to go. So you, despite yourself, go to the store. You grumble as it takes a few tries to kick-start the shitty old thing you drove, you reverse out of your driveway, and you head straight to the store. There you bought rat poison and various different "expert approved" traps. How much could it take to get rid of one rat anyways? Hopefully something with "expert" approval. You feel almost accomplished, having gone out for the first time in a while. And more importantly, you feel assured that your issue had practically solved itself. When you get home the sun had already set, so you lay your traps down and go to bed.
You wake up in the dead of night. Your room is dark. Cold. You can't see anything. You can hardly see your bed in front of you. You sit up, and your eyes start to adjust to the night. You stare down at the floor, and that's when you see it. Large green eyes staring back up at you. You could take at first glance that it was about the size of a large dog; the thing was, its teeth were grinning at you, overlapping and mangled, throbbing, foam dripping from its smile. Its fur was matted and dirty, swerving in and out of its wrinkled skin. It was lying down, its arms bent in an almost unnatural sort of position, as if broken—no, as if deformed. Its eyes almost read as human when they locked with yours. You fell back into your bed, your heart pounding as the world spun around you. You couldn't breathe; you couldn't even bring yourself to scream. You hear a sort of creaking, like trees being swayed by a strong wind. It stood up. When it did, it was clear this thing was not nearly as small as a dog. It stood at your height. It moved its deformed claws towards you; as if reaching out for a hug. You moved back away from it. "NO NO HELP HELP HELP ME!!!" You wail incoherently as you fall off the opposite side of the bed. Noone is there to help. You are alone. Its grin widens. Its knees collapse into your bed as it hunches over, facing you, before it sinks its claws into you. You feel it rip into your flesh, tearing, peeling, feasting. Sinking its shattered, sharp, overlapping teeth into you. It does not relent, it does not listen to your wails or cries, it doesn't need to; it doesn't care to. You are just nourishment to it. You are just an animal. Just pray. The sun rises over a small house. The blinds are closed, the yard is unkept. Its car is parked where it always is. Noone is home. And noone has been for a long time.

Ok so there's this blonde kid (naruto) who wants to be a ninja. So he goes to ninja school and he meets this other kid Sasuke aka The Progenitor of Emo and they kiss but only once. Rock Lee is also there and he brings his eyebrows to school every day. Sakura is there too she's pink. She might kill people im not sure. Then one night after they do a blood pact (every time I caught Naruto when it was on they were doing blood pacts) Sasuke gets pink eye and gets special powers. Also he has a brother apparently? He tells him to kill Naruto but Sasuke says no so they just shout at each other across a cliff. Theres a tornado at some point??? Maybe??? And then more stuff happens but this is all I know

🍓? ik we havent been mutuals for super long its ok if you dont have anything
You are kind of normal in a way that I am sometimes surprised you are on here. I feel like you could do many things, maybe even build a battle ship from one of those complex legos if you really wanted to.
Calm, and reasonable criticism I suppose. You have it together... enough,... as in, sense-wise.
