Kindergarten AU

Shadow was certainly proud today. Not only was it the first day of kindergarten, but it was also the first day that Santa Maria Kindergarten was officially opened! It was small and quaint, but this was a small town so it would be obvious for the building to match the style. Of course he was nervous because the parents and students would be coming in soon and he was hoping to make a good first impression given this was the first day and all.
“Daaaad, I wanna see Santaaaa,” a small brown echidna said, tugging at his sleeve. “Santa’s here right?? If he’s here and when I’m super good I can get presents early!” he said bouncing up and down excitedly.
...maybe he should’ve changed the name, he thought as he crouched down and ruffled his son’s head. “Sandy, we talked about this; Santa’s busy at the North Pole all year around so he can’t be a teacher for everyone here. Oh speaking of which,” he said, noticing that one of the parents had arrived. “Looks like you’re about to meet your first classmate.” He straightened up and offered his hand. “Welcome, I’m Mr. Shadow, the principal of this small kindergarten and this is my son, Sandy.”

Thank you. Luna is my personal version of Shadow. His personality and most other stuff about him is a little different than canon. He just prefers to be called Luna over Shadow.
