Realized that I don’t really write here anymore and for once I don’t feel bad about it.
There was a time when I wanted to use this like a diary or just a space where I could be more real than on other platforms. I also liked the community aspect on tumblr and feeling in touch with gaysian and AAPI spaces. It’s let me connect with individuals I’m happy to know and have some semblance of friendship with. Maybe I don’t need tumblr for all of that anymore though.
I think I’ve focused my energy into Instagram over all other platforms. I barely even update Facebook anymore. I’ve narrowed in on a handful of friendships and I think that’s enough for me. People to trade music with, talk about photography, gush over the latest episode of Terrace House, and send nudes.
Maybe I’ll come back here when I enter another transitionary period of my life. I’m thinking just 1-2 more years in Japan. Then it’ll be on to the US (California hopefully) or possibly a year in Taiwan to work on my Chinese before that. Well that was my little update. Back to editing this video I’ve been meaning to finish for months.
