Tropical Raspberry is a delicious and fast-growing berry plant that produces sweet, juicy red fruits in warm climates. Unlike traditional raspberries, this tropical variety adapts well to humid and sunny conditions, making it perfect for home gardens and terrace cultivation. The plant features lush green foliage and attractive berries rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. Ideal for fresh eating, juices, desserts, and homemade jams, Tropical Raspberry is a great addition to any fruit lover’s garden.
Raspberry 'Autumn Bliss'
PLANTED ROW NEAREST THE CONIFER TREE
A truly exceptional variety!
Without a doubt, one of the best and most reliable autumn fruiting varieties. Bliss is a heavy cropper from late August through until the first frosts with the highest yield coming in September.
The attractive berries are large with a firm texture, and the flavour is excellent. The fruit is mid-dark red in colour and has good keeping qualities. The short, erect, spiny cane are sturdy and need only minimal support.
Bliss has good disease resistance to Root Rot. Primocane variety – produces fruit on the first years growth.
An excellent British bred variety – very highly recommended.
Cropping season: late August-mid October. Self fertile.
Fruit is produced on the current seasons cane.
Cut all canes to ground level in the winter.
Remove unwanted canes in the Spring.
Height: 150cm (59”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
How do I get a second crop of raspberries?
Cut these just harvested canes down to the ground. Do not prune back new canes that have emerged during the summer. After the old, fruit-bearing canes have been cut back, train the new canes to a post or to one or two horizontal wires. These canes will produce a crop next year.
