He’s hardly what people picture when they think of an athlete: not that many muscles, can’t run that fast or not that graceful either. Still, he trains with dilligence and a lot of patience, staying almost still, barely breathing, before the arrow flies from his hand and hits the target. A smile creeps up, and he nods, proud of himself, a little too modest to take the compliments openly.

Rasmus is one of the best of his generation, there is no question. But with the ability, it also comes a lot of heart, a lot of soul. He likes to train younger children, laughing with them as their arrows miss the board entirely; he is patient, he is careful, he is dedicated. When he teaches adults, however, he is ruthless. The warm hand over the studen is barely any reassurance when paired up with the strong words of a fierce competitor. You don’t make a winner by being soft.
