How Custom Rash Guards Are Made
Custom rash guards are made for MMA, BJJ, No-Gi grappling, wrestling, and combat sports training. They must be stretchable, durable, quick-dry, and comfortable.
The process starts with fabric selection. Most rash guards use polyester spandex or nylon spandex.
Polyester spandex is best for sublimation printing and full custom graphics. Nylon spandex is better for premium plain compression rash guards.
After fabric selection, the pattern is made. The fabric is cut into body panels, sleeve panels, collar panels, and side panels.

For custom printed rash guards, sublimation printing is used. The artwork is printed on transfer paper and heat-pressed onto white polyester spandex panels.
After printing, the panels are stitched together. Flatlock stitching is commonly used because it creates smooth seams and supports stretch during training.

The final rash guards are checked for sizing, stitching, print quality, stretch, and finishing. Then labels, hang tags, and packaging are added.
In simple words, custom rash guards are made through fabric selection, pattern cutting, sublimation printing, stitching, quality control, branding, and packing.
