There's this Sterek fic I keep thinking about, and I don't know if it's still a WIP or if I missed updates on it. It was set in Alaska, I think, and Stiles goes up there to sell a house his dad had moved to, maybe? And Derek's up there. And they end up hanging out, and then there's some dramatic incident where they take a helicopter to a remote area and get stranded there, and there are hunters around.
Off The Grid by spookywoods (M, 42k, WIP) Stiles hasn't seen or heard from his father since he was 10 years old. So when a park ranger in Alaska gets in touch and breaks the news of his father's disappearance and presumed demise, Stiles is not thrilled about having to trek it up to the Last Frontier to settle his father's affairs. He's particularly not thrilled about getting stuck there for the winter. Or having to deal with the bizarre locals, and the mysterious Ranger Derek Hale, who can't seem to stop messing things up for Stiles at every turn.
