Why won't my WiFi extender connect to my router?

Using old Router Firmware

You just have to do the following steps and you will be connected to your existing router without any issue.
First connect router and extender to the power plug.
Check the power is available on your house and the wires do not have any fault.
When LED light on both devices starts turning from red to orange or green color, try to connect them with each other.
For this, you need to place extender near to the router and try finding the router wifi network to connect with extender.
Use router’s WiFi network to connect your extender using the Router password.
Once connected check the WiFi signal, If its good then only move further.
Else you should try with an Ethernet CABLE.
Now as you know you have bought the new wifi extender to increase the internet speed, so you need to now connect your wifi extender with your laptop, mobile or PC.
For this open you laptop and try to connect this with the your Extender’s Wifi network and enter your Wifi extender password.
Once it is connected, open www.mywifiext.net on any browser and now again enter username and password.
And yes finally you are setup your new wireless range extender device at your home.
