my favorite female character: shelby!!! she was instantly my favorite from the start. there’s so much depth to her character and i just find her really interesting, i’m reallyyy excited to see how she continues to develop in season 2.

my favorite male character: so we haven’t seen the boys’ part of the show yet, but based off the descriptions of the boys, i feel like either seth or bo will be my favorite

my favorite book/season/etc: well there’s only one season lol

my favorite episode: probably not a shock to anyone but episode 8.. aka shelby’s episode. i liked learning about her backstory plus it has one of my absolute favorite scenes, when shelby ends up cutting her hair after the breakdown. mia’s acting was just incredible.

my favorite cast member: they’re all great, i really love sophia and mia

my favorite ship: hmm shoni i guess, but i honestly don’t love them as much as most people do, i think i need more time to warm up to toni + there needs to be more focus on them and their story because it almost just a tinnnyyy bit felt rushed

a character i’d die defending: leah and rachel. they get too much unjustified hate.

a character i just can’t sympathize with: i sympathize with all of them so much, just want to give them all a big hug, even nora.

4 - First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight?

Oh I love their canon first impression. Asami’s like “omg I’ve heard so much about you!” and Korra is over there, thinking “who is this bitch?”

Deffo not love at first sight lol but that’s what I love about them. Korra made a snap judgement based on Asami being with the guy she liked whereas Asami had nothing but good intentions. I think she liked Korra from the very beginning and all of Korra’s distaste was due to jealousy. Still funny. Reminds me of Project Voicebend lol.

10 - Who drives? Cooks? Does the handiwork? Cleans? Pays the bills? Handles the public?

I think the who drives is pretty obvious haha. Try as she might Korra can’t master the element of driving and Asami has much love for her but no patience when it comes to her Satomobiles. They’re both too busy to cook and not very good at it, though Korra is somewhat better but only with Water Tribe dishes and what she learned from Pema. They’re both good with handiwork, Korra because she can literally manipulate all the base elements and Asami by nature of being a mechanic. Again, servants mostly clean but out of the two Asami is more neat. Since Korra’s job is saving the world it’s mostly up to the CEO of a megacorporation to pay the bills haha, and they’re both in the public eye plenty so there’s no escaping that.

21 - Do they share any interests or hobbies?

Hmm, nothing particular comes to mind. I think they’re just so busy and all of Asami’s hobbies are pretty much her work. They do share interests though but it’s more general, like feeling a deep responsibility for the world. They represent different aspects of the world in many ways so they as people are different but introduce each other to new things.

39 - Who initiated the relationship? Who kissed who first?  When did they realize they were in love?

Ah see what’s fun but also kinda tragic about the way Korrasami came to be, under censorship, is that we don’t have answers to these. I guess technically Korra canonically initiated by asking Asami out to the Spirit World and in the comics their first kiss is entirely mutual. It was a “the world is safe now let’s finally do this” moment for both.

What I do have strong feelings on is that Asami was the first to realize she was in love. The comics canonized that she had her big oh moment when Korra got hurt at the end of book 3. I think Asami already fancied her throughout that season but it was a common HC that she realized she loved Korra in 3x13. She spent the next four years angsting about it. And again it’s canon that Korra came to the same conclusion during her time away. To pinpoint exactly, I think it was when she decided that her one (1) letter that made it back to Republic City would be to Asami.

8. What gif trend do you hate

Not to shade anyone lol so I won't give examples but I often see this for big fandoms when there are like three different scenes blended and layered on top of each other, and sure it can look really good don't get me wrong but I feel it gets overused within sets and sometimes it makes it hard for me to see what even is going on. Granted I'm just envious of good blending lol but yeah I don't Love it when gifs get too busy.

9. What/who inspired you to start making gifs

For the who it'd probably be my sister as she started first and then sorta taught me, and the what is The Legend of Korra! Speaking of...

This was entirely inspired by the LoK finale and sure, it's not something I'd ever share today lol but hey, we all have to start somewhere.

21. PSDs or original coloring for each gif

Well, original but most of the time I wouldn't really call what I do "coloring" lmao. I'm learning but I like to play it easy because most of the time that's not what I'm focusing on. That said I do colour each individual gif.

32. What is your favorite tool/adjustment layer in Photoshop

Traditionally I like to slap on a Brightness/Contrast so I can SEE the gd dark scenes but I don't rely on it as heavily anymore. I mean really Photoshop is just a wonderfully useful programme but right now I would say layer masks because holy shit now that I'm utilizing them more they're life saving.

🦫 Wooden Lodge ➳ What would your dream home look like?

If practical things like resources are of no concern, my dream home would be, well, roomy. I want a large bedroom I can have all to myself, along with at least two rooms for guests - I want my home to be able to house friends who need or want to stay. There would be something like a study, where I can do most projects in peace. It could also house a small library to properly store my books and add more without worrying about space. It would have a garden, too, just for small things like kitchen herbs and maybe chili and calamansi.

(And ofc - let it have at least two floors!! I want a balcony.)

Function takes precedence over aesthetics atm -- I'll figure out how to decorate later. I do have an image in mind - I just don't have the vocabulary to describe it.

Too many things tbh.

Off the top of my head: colored/patterned paper, washi tapes, stationery, ribbons, pens, coins, tea, tea packets and tabs, books, manga, scented candles, scented oils, just about anything with a scent I like (including room sprays, perfumes, plants, dried kitchen herbs) necklaces and pendants (slowly starting on earrings and brooches as well), pretty rocks, shells, and seeds.
