We're going to, before we launch into the subject of our meme, clarify some speculation rumor and innuendo. We personally have nothing against the order but for reasons we will just say are none of your freaking business we can not or will not take an oath for now. Okay on with the show. Everytime we pick up a copy of good times, a long island music scene fixture for ages we are reminded of one of the ones that got away, Rick derringer. ( Liz zerringer long time manager and editor), we lost the chance to work with him at Studio one where we were the chief engineer because our studio manager Susan who was a hard ass and pretty dumb refused to takea spec deal for his vocalist. Oh well there's always tomorrow. Some more ancient rock history, we see that ronnie james dio, one of the Great Rock vocalist of all time is at the Paramount. .. at the Garden he revealed to us his biggest problem playing there: shyt for brain people dropping fireworks off the upper balcony into the crowd below. What a bummer. Also of interest in this issue: Patchogue seems to be in up and coming little music and arts center of the area! We tried to get a gig at 79 North but our competition locally had it all wrapped up before we ever got there. Good venue, good room, and great sound system.
