Not for ourselves alone are we born.

Wow! We've already raised over 15% of our gishwhes & Random Acts Item #198 Change A Life goal! We have a long way to go, though. Keep it up, gishers! Help us keep these young dancers’ dreams alive!
Although she be but little she is fierce.
This is how I feel about the SPN fandom right now.
I should preface this by saying I have been part of many many fandoms, I have been doing various convention circuits for 20 years and never have I ever found a more welcoming fandom family.
By comparison to other fandoms we are small. SPN isn’t as well known as we think it is, even though it’s going into it’s 13th season.
Yet we do things like raise over $180 thousand dollars in 2 DAYS for disaster relief to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. That campaign is still going here by the way https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/team/texas-flood-relief/familybusinessbeercompany
We continually double, triple and quadruple fundraising campaign goals for the cast and charities that are dear to their hearts.
My experience in this fandom has been that it’s been filled with welcoming people, who do more lifting up than putting down. I have met many folks because of this fandom and many of those folks I now consider friends. Online friends sure, but still friends.
I KNOW the bad people are here too, the trolls, the catty people, the ones who can’t just keep scrolling past a ship they don’t like, or put down the actors because god forbid they don’t like character, or similar petty bullshit...BUT I choose not to surround myself with those people if it’s avoidable. So MY experience has been mostly positive. Believe it or not, the hate is worse in other fandoms.
We do HUGE wonderful things, we make an impact, we pull together in tiny ways and create LARGE wonderful changes in the world.
Watching the news the past week with the hurricane, and watching campaigns closely the weeks before that, I’ve been overwhelmed seeing the generosity, of our fandom. As well as seeing humanity (fandom or not) coming together to help each other. It’s not always the case in natural disaster situations.
I felt the need to write a thank you to our fandom, and the fandom family and friends I have made, and to write a general reminder to us all, and any non-fandom folks reading this, to keep being kind to each other, continue going that one step out of your way to make someone else’s day better. A smile cost nothing, neither does being kind. Keep helping people.
It is the reminder that there are kind loving individuals out there that keep the light on for people in the dark.
The road so far #dreams2acts @randomactsorg

Gorgeous.
Also, it looks like the guitar has signatures on it. That’s so cool!

So Random Acts is auctioning off a guitar played by Jensen Ackles.
I love how supportive Jensen is of Misha’s charities and is always willing to jump in and help out
