I deleted Discord for good.
So yeah, this morning I finally deleted Discord everywhere (I mean, it won’t get fully deleted yet, as long as I don’t log back in in like 2 weeks).
With the new age verification that’s gonna roll out in March, I am just not gonna risk everything. I did the exact same thing when Twitter was implementing AI and using AI to take people’s art and I was like “SEEYA-“
I know people are gonna be like “why did you do that?” “This is just the new norm now” “But they have our data already.”
Look I try my best to keep as much of my data and personal info as private and secure as I can. Hell, back in 2019, my old Instagram account got hacked, and I couldn’t retrieve it. I may not have been as careful as I was 6 or 7 years ago, but I and many others are taking action to keep our digital footprint to a minimum.
And if you guys follow me here or on Instagram and Bluesky, great. I’m not leaving these sites (yet). So I’ll still be doing my thing, doodling fanart and such.
If you are also someone who has been considering leaving Discord, do so. There’s a great website with Discord alternatives (along with their pros and cons). So check that out. (I might be considering Fluxer since it is as close to Discord as it can be).
