at night, chickens are really sleepy so they'll just sit wherever you put them and go back to sleep. so imagine c!dream having a bad night and he can't sleep or relax. and c!techno goes out to his coop and brings in a chicken and puts it on dream's lap and dream is just like 'what the hell are you doing techno i don't want a stupid chicken'.
but techno just keeps going to get chickens until dream's lap is full of them and they're really soft and making the happy hen sounds and they're warm and dream finds himself petting them, slowly relaxing...

Rewatching the November 16th stream and made crazy by how much prodding Dream does of Techno. He knows Techno wouldn't stand for any of this and just craves the chaos that he can create. He knows Techno and his ideals that well. He knew that even if for whatever reason Wil didn't hit the button, it didn't matter. He knew how the people who started L'Manburg were, and he knew how Techno would respond to their desires. They just. I love them
honestly, i think c!techno was too close to the situation to see how things were going to go. like, he clearly knew things were off and he had all the warning signs, but i've said it before that sometimes he overlooks things that conflict with what he wants because he doesn't want that conflict between him and the people he considers a friend.
and c!dream was well aware of what was going to happen! so yeah, he was telling techno that. he was letting him know 'i have your back' - he said that outright. when it goes the way he knows it's gonna go, techno will know that he's on the same side.
it's just so interesting to watch go down!
Do you think there would ever be a situation where Dream would kill Techno? Like maybe prison was way worse for both of them, and Dream ended up killing Techno to try and protect him? (He'll revive him when he gets out...)
i think that if c!techno hadn't been pulled out by c!phil when he was and c!quackity ended up truly torturing techno, especially over the course of days like he did to c!dream, then yeah. i do think it's possible that dream would consider killing techno.
i don't think he would do it without techno's agreement and i think he would definitely hesitate because without techno how is he getting out, y'know?
so i think in the end, it's mostly a 'he would consider it' but i'm not fully sure he'd actually go through with it. for the reasons stated above and because when techno tells dream not to worry about him being killed, dream states that he doesn't want techno go through the process of dying to begin with.
but yeah, if the torture was prolonged, and techno agreed and dream had some kind of back-up plan for getting out, he probably would.

techno lists dream as being wanted for being homeless and dream gets all mad about that and puts techno down as wanted for 'being stupid' and it's a whole thing. everyone else on the server is deeply confused.

Yo, would there be healing arc after it? Cause it would definitely be difficult, but i feel like techno could not make the obvious and go back and to his cabin (that I think would probably be empty for security of his animals and his own, maybe even under protection of people be trusts) and take Dream somewhere where he can heal and rest and not try to run the moment he can lift a gun again
yes! i always love a good healing arc.
they would definitely have to go on the run, at least for awhile. it would be hard because c!dream isn't in the best shape and he doesn't really want to leave the town at the hands of the people he was fighting to keep it out of, but he's in no shape to deal with it. plus, they haven't rebuilt the bridge as of yet so there's some time. (the town is set near a river and a big point of contention was a rail bridge.)
this is sadly not a fight they can win. it just can't happen but both c!techno and dream want to put up as much of a fight as possible. and for that, he does need his strength back.
One thought i have sometimes it's if c!Dream was a snake hybrid or a cool blood animal, he would use the excuse he cant regaulate his own temperature by his own to cuddle with c!Techno
oh i love that idea!
and honestly, i can see c!techno wondering if c!dream needs heat and doing his best to keep dream warm with hot water bottles, things like that. while dream is half grumbling about the whole thing but it IS nice and cozy.
also, both of them finding a nice spot to lay out in the sun.
