I just managed to save my dad’s nearly 30 year old Pokémon Red save
If you don’t know, the Pokémon games for the gameboy and gameboy color (red, blue, yellow, silver, gold, crystal) all used battery powered memory in order to save the save data. So that means once the battery runs out, any existing save data is completely lost and it loses the ability to save.
My Pokémon Silver save did not survive.
Even the clock battery in my Pokémon Sapphire did not survive.
So this is nothing short of an absolute miracle and I’ve been low-key crying for the past 30 minutes.
Shoutout to Milly and Meryl for being the first mii’s in my Tomodachi Life game to fall in love and get married.

Deep cut but Jowy from Suikoden II cause I first played that game as a kid and I got really attached to him and his morally grey bad decisions but deep love for his friends. So seeing that character always has that feeling of seeing a good friend you haven’t seen in awhile.
