crashing in
Ā Ā Ā A memento from another time, the only special, captured moment left from the life they once spent together, had floated through the air in a furious gust of wind and became lost in an unforgiving sea of bodies where trampling over precious things happened all the time. In a panic, he'd chased it, and collided with many strangers much taller than him, and as a result became even less aware of the photograph's location. Like a child caught in overpowering waves, he'd become lost at sea.
Ā Ā Ā So much for the panic approach. For now, he's travelling quickly but cautiously-- dipping in, out, and around the groups of people as fast as possible to cover as much ground as he could in the shortest time possible.
Ā Ā Ā No good -- he was finding himself gasping for breath with zero results. His knees began to bend, palms pressing against the caps to push them straight and give him rest.
Ā Ā Ā "Come on, it's gotta be around here somewhere... Did somebody take it?" Pink optics scanned the area for any possible sign, when just on time, no one more surprising than the final swimmer of their high school team had showed up among the crowd of people. The blond was overjoyed at the sight of his classmate, but was plagued with the heavy heart of loss.
Ā Ā Ā "Rei-chan!" Despite the lack of breath, legs carried him faster than his searching had towards his source of comfort. "Rei-chan, I lost the picture of us all at the prefecturals! Please help me find it!!"
