*a ran comes scurrying towards you*
(example of what she looks like :D);
*She watched, puzzled as the creature drew closer. She had to admit, it did look kinda cute...*
*When it stopped in front of her she hesitated. Should she pet it?*

I’ve had multiple discussions with people about this (Even someone who has a PHD in Game Studies) and I want to say out right.
It is perfectly okay to mourn a game character as you would a real person. It is natural to do so.
“You spend so much time developing, getting to know, upgrading and exploring with the playable/main character that forming emotional attachments to them is just normal.”
I’ve mourned game characters. Fallen in love and damn right just admired the heck out of some characters.
When I first played RDR1 the ending damn near killed me. I mourned and cried because I spent so much time getting to know John.
RDR2 I still cry at the thought of what happened to Arthur. Mentioning it makes me tear up and whenever I replay the story I just know its coming and cry. Its natural.
RDR2 is so immersive and much more of a personal experience with the character, your horse an everything that it is damn near soul crushing. I’ve written countless essays for my degree on RDR as a whole and even writing my Dissertation about the emotional impact that games have on the player which is heavily inspired by RDR2.
So I will say it again.
It is perfectly natural to mourn the death of a game character like a real person.
the haitani brothers are so fucking fine oh my god
LAY (could be from Voss, Ran, or a random brothel woman, you pick)
“You work too hard, you deserve a break”
Sevika grunts in response. How is she supposed to respond to that, she wasn't sure she really wanted to lay back anyhow. "Yea I know, seems the boss could use the suggestion though" her grey eyes go back to shuffling the deck in his hand, just to do something with them her shoulders still a bit tense.
OH FUCK I GOT A FIC IDEA.
