the robot in question is a replica of his twin sister rosaline whos been gone for quite a while and somehow remus constructed it a mind that has parts of his sister's mind, like from scraps from the ruins of their childhood home and little things that would be meaningless to anyone but them, that activate memories and make this rosaline into a nearly believable copy of remus' dead sister

and like. listen. im thinking remus is on a mission to steal a crystal or some sort of module for robot rosaline's heart so her blood would be real and she would be real so he could completely believe it is her there. and the whole fic would be about how robot rosaline develops real human consciousness (from mixing memories and events and objects from the now and the ones that have been programmed in her) in their adventures, and she makes friends in the dangerous places they visit and she dances and laughs and falls in love with her brother

but shes not programmed for that. like at all. basically - they act exactly like they did back at home, like they just hang around the ship and either banter like sibs or just do their own things in silence. in the fic it would be like arguing softly about the things that happened to them outside, helping each other mount upgrades to the ship, rosaline bringing remus dinner while hes steering so they could eat messily and look at the thousand upon millions of colors making the galaxy before them
