Elbe in her new Ramie fiber wig I made for her! I was really pleased with the fiber length I was able to get but I’m sure when I really get it brushed out, I’ll loose some of that length. But yeah, this was the first time I actually enjoyed the wig making process which is very cool it’s not something I liked doing in the past. I’ve been intimidated by the prospects of making my own wigs for my dolls but I really want something for my new Twigling girls so we went in head first with some Ramie fiber I had and some Latex I’d bought for the purpose sometime ago too. And while the wig isn’t the most amazing thing ever it’s actually useable and I really like it! I used stretchy dark brown fabric for the wig cap. The Latex is nice to work with too because it dries so fast and you don’t have to wait so long between layers like with Mod Podge. I also really like how “rubbery”the head cap is and how awesome it stays on her head. Even with the quicker drying times I still took 3 days to finish the wig.
