I'm so happy i found someone who didn't like the chapter either. Because after the beautiful story-driven darkness we got with chapter 4, this one, despite the fun platforming, felt... uh. You ever made a collage in kindergarten with colorful paper and nothing really fit? That's what this chapter feels like to me. The only good things about it were Suselle and Dessriel canon, and the weird route (I'm gonna make some fanart for that scene next fall). Otherwise it was just: "Deltarune: Anime edition". 😅
Thanks for letting me vent. I overall love love love this game, which is why this chapter was such a disappointment to me personally.

Yeah the fanservice and gags were ok in castle town but just over the top in a chapter that was basically an undertale soul au and a bunch of anime gags stitched together. we don't learn anything new either so the chapter 4 cliffhanger dosent get expanded upon and its all. bleh
