a thing I do dislike when it comes to let’s say military shows or movies is generally how. it just doesn’t have women point blank. or they do but it’s like one singular character - if we‘re lucky MAYBE even three. BUT it makes sense cause it’s mainly a male focused glazing kind of side of media so. yeah. and then the women are just not even given much of an identity either.
in sasrh eve‘s character is just so. at the start it genuinely gives you a mysterious sort of feel to her and what her purpose is and what exactly she is doing WITH the SAS - it leaves so much room to be explored and experienced - but then it all just crumbles down way too fast cause her character becomes mainly for david‘s development and they become tied to a romance plot that just. doesn’t serve her anything but also serves david EVERYTHING. and it’s just so unequal to her.
but then again mr steven generally has a tougher time with giving women identity, he sorta does that in LATER seasons (me coping that she becomes more inclusive in season3) but it’s still just so like. dumb and stupid and weird why he doesn’t see women as equal to men that their whole focus will always come later when the men r done with. like okay. okay mr steven I get it.
in conclusion. I will have to genderbend my muses. which I think is awesome and good. and awesome. OR I just make an oc of mine and write my own verse - universe with her being involved. will think about it some other time.
