Hello! You ask for requests for your Waterlogged AU, yes? If I am allowed, could you draw us what and how Lamb and Narinder looked like before the whole disaster that gave them wings and locked them underwater? Or do you also take requests to do separate art of COTL unrelated to your AU? Either way, incredible art, intriguing story, take your medicine on time and drink plenty of water. May your month be kinder to you than it was before.
hello!! I'm done with college now so I can finally do my art requests/asks! thanks for your patience. :)
I’m always up for requests on cotl stuff related to or not related to my waterlogged au! I may not do all of them, but feel free to send some! (only rule: no nsfw requests) And thank you so much for your well wishes. I really needed it back then, haha.
Here's a general look of what Chance looks like before and during the story (minus their corruption/ascension).
I love the idea of Chance gaining their wings somehow! That didn't occur to me as an option when I was drafting their story, haha. I'm too deep in my drafts now to change it. The idea is that Chance was born with their wings, like most other beings made to serve the gods. When the gods fled to above millenia ago, they couldn't take these beings with them. They are currently called sirens by the other creatures inhabiting hell. Siren’s creation and purpose is only a myth now. They are seen as a dying race, with very few of them left. This little tidbit doesn't really come up in the story besides the bishops and demigods calling Chance a skychild, or Ratau being surprised at seeing a siren.
Chance doesn't change too much physically throughout their life, except near the end. Their changes mostly revolve around their character, and oh Boy do they go through character development.
Narinder on the other hand, looked very different. He was not a leviathan trapped in his own tomb. Chance saw a mural of him once, in an old temple. It was pretty well preserved for a temple in his name.
Narinder doesn't remember what he use to look like. All he remembers is that his sight use to be more vast. His shoulders ache, and he sometimes remembers something soft. It's much different from his scales, fur, and leathery flesh.
I need to get weirder
imagine a cotl au where the lamb, after usurping Narinder, becomes so attuned to the dead that they kinda lose themselves. Instead of being the lamb, they feel as if they are all of the lambs that have been killed over the span of the prophecy. a possession built from the inability to let go of grief.
auaghagh the eclipse is here. I'm so glad I have glasses this time

hello! would you be willing to tell us about your mer au? sorry if I'm bothering you
You aren't bothering me! I love it when people send asks. I might take a while to respond because I go to college full time and have a job. But I really appreciate the interest!!
Right now I'm kinda figuring out the story as I draw and post art. I already scrapped a lot of the original ideas I had for it, so the outline for the story is everywhere. The worldbuilding is pretty much done and I'll admit that it's pretty loosely based on the game. I'm taking a lot of liberties to make the story something I'd enjoy.
The main idea of this story is "how about we take all the awful decisions we could make in the game and make it worse." I'm not the biggest fan of unhappy endings, but I'm tempted to make this au have one. Still playing with the idea.
The setting is a world destroyed by the old gods. Very few stay on what is left of below (earth is referred to as hell in this au). The gods that are left are the bishops, those trapped (narinder, chemach), and those who have the blessing to walk between above and below (clauneck, kudaai, etc). Despite the landscape and dangers, there's a lot of life!
The lamb in this au (named Chance) is destined to basically purge hell from godly presence. The bishops... do not take kindly to this. As such, the lamb is thrown down past the shattered remains of land to crash into the ocean. Sorta. They crash into Narinder's temple-turned-tomb. The story starts when he wakes from the crash. :)
Narinder in this is a starved creature, locked in a filthy cage waiting for someone to stick their fingers through the bars. He's lost most of his sanity, and forgot a lot in his isolation. He remembers his rage, what he has to do when he gets out of his tomb, but the details are hazy. He can't remember his name or what his siblings really look like. Sometimes he can barely remember why he is trapped. It has been a very long time since he was put in this temple.
The lamb is a "crazed, shaking animal covered in blood that's not theirs" <- from my character sheet on them. They are an amnesiac protagonist who is basically a puppet for the god of death. This mostly entails killing creatures or bringing them back to feed their god. They aren't exactly the best person. Chance is an... extremely flawed individual. Whatever strength they had was taken away from them. They have morals, and understand what's right and wrong, but doesn't follow their intuition. They are too hopeless and fears the burden of making a decision that ends in failure. This leads them to giving into Narinder's will because he is an easy thing to blame. They aren't to blame because he is the one making the decisions. At least, that's what they want to believe.
The story mostly follows the plot of the game. The lambs were wiped out due to the prophecy. Chance is demanded by Narinder to kill his siblings to free him. Ratau is a helping hand, even though he never met Narinder in this (and isn't really aware of what Chance is doing). Most of this story is about becoming something inhuman/monstrous, and changing in a negative way. Also memory loss with a good touch of horror.
This whole thing is based vaguely off the idea of "as above so below." It's also a kind of "what if the lamb and narinder in my pathtaker story were worse. then I introduced the horrors."
thinking of taking art requests again. no promises on getting to them, but feel free to send in asks!
okay I have decided to make the comic 2x longer than originally intended. should I post one large comic or two shorter ones?
