Ramasutra – The East Infection (1999)
   Ramachandra Borcar is from Montreal and I couldn’t possibly be objective, being from Quebec’s metropolis myself. That is if the only reason to love him was being neighbours (well, figuratively). Turns out that he’s also a musical mastermind. So there you go, I am not being subjective, at all. I found this ‘’East Infected’’ jewel a while ago and remember thinking: ‘’where were you all this time and how could I live without you?’’ As soon as I could work my mind around the fact that every bass groove, every well placed pause, every Indian percussion rhythms and every little syllable he used in this album was actually happening, El Pipo Del Taxi came out as his next EP (too short, unfortunately) and then, horror ensued: he vanished into the world of movie soundtrack and producing others. Almost five years later, while still trying to cope with it, they let me out of therapy.
   Top Cat, New Wage Permanent Wave DJ, Just Under Devotion, Jewel of the Lotus, Daisy, George and Low are just some of my favorite songs from the 11 tracks album (How this reeks of objectivity – Edited by Adam). Then Jesus said to them, ''Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.'' All jokes aside, this is an absolute delight for the ears and the mind. A must listen album, that misses a full following act, badly.
