It was funny, Ralphina decided, how the crystals of Halcyon still remembered when to light up... It helped these were her memories, she supposed. The familiar tavern sign of Aurora, the broken down buildings of Somnium, the house she'd once shared with her best friend, the lost, mall-sized mansion she'd once called home, once upon a time - Everywhere she looked was but another memory of a world lomg since lost, presented in its final moments, forever trapped within her memories in ways she hated.
Forever reminding her of the fates she had failed to change.
Gentle fingers skimmed the familiar side of the old, crumbling mansion, illuminated by the gentle glow of nearby crystal-torches. How long had it been now, she wondered? How many millions, even billions, of years had it been since Halcyon's...
The glow of the moon above put her thoughts to a halt, eyes closing and a sigh escaping her lips. Work waited for no man... And neither did the moon's stubborn call.

I'm insanely proud of this art of Ral! I've been starting to try things with backgrounds here and there, just to try and push myself little by little, and that's led to this - Not the greatest by far, but more than what I usually do oh I hate backgrounds! Ralphina goes through a lot, even after finding her mate and settling down, and she'll never be truly free of the chains holding her to the traumas she's suffered and the worlds that've fallen... But oh, oh does she try. She counts every fallen world as a personal failure despite her job description being to prevent the secrets of her homeworld from getting out and forcing history to repeat itself, but... Why does it always have to be as it is...?
